Delete Contents In A Data Range

Click the scroll down up on the vertical scrollbar until the top of the spreadsheet> is visible.

Click cell A6
Highlight the data range> A6 through F6.


    You can do this by dragging your mouse from A6 to F6.

Press the Del key


    Excel deletes the cell contents of all cells within the cell range.

Click cell A6
Click
Type Expenses
Press Enter


    Excel enters the word "Expenses" into cell A6 with a bold font style.
